WHAT ARE THE ROYALTY FEE AND ADVERTISING FEE, AND WHAT DO THEY COVER?
The royalty fee is 6% of gross revenue each month, which covers a number of specific items. The most important of those is the ongoing support of our franchisees. Additionally, this royalty covers ongoing use of the Property Management Inc trademark and systems, and the public image created by the Property Management Inc name through a variety of means. In addition to the royalty, we may in the future collect a national advertising fund fee in the amount of up to 2% of gross revenue. Advertising fund fees are used by us to promote recognition of the Property Management Inc system through regional and national advertising promotional materials and campaigns. This fund, when activated will be managed by a panel of franchise owners to insure that the advertising funds are invested to benefit all franchisees.
